So, here we are at the tail end of 2018 and HIV is still at an all time high in the 504.
Now don’t get me wrong, the numbers are improving, but our status as one of the leaders in New Infection rates in the US is still steady.
So, how can we fix this, you might be asking yourself?
Education..
Engagement…
Talking about HIV to end Stigma (Stigma kills, remember)…
Money..
Yes folks, money can end HIV.
HIV loves poverty, and income inequality.
So give, give to your local HIV Service Providers.
My favorite organization to give to recently in 102.3, WHIV FM..
This is a local radio station with a quirky call sign that does so much for the community as a whole in New Orleans.
http://www.WHIVFM.com is where you can go to give them some cash.
Lazarus House is also a beautiful organization that could always use your support.
Give your money, your time, your love.
New Orleans is a handful of Global Fast Track Cities that are tasked with implementing 90-90-90 .
Your help is badly needed if we are to eradicate HIV in our lifetimes, which is entirely possible.
Please, contact me with questions or for information on how to get involved.
Alone, we can do so little..
But together, we are unstoppable.

Who is James, or rather who was James and who is James becoming? This is a question that I am attempting to answer myself, and I guess I have been trying to answer for as long as I can recall. I, am Chronically Broken, and yet perfectly arranged. Does that make any sense to you? I guess what I am trying to get at is that although I am altogether similar to who I was and always have been, I am strangely dissimilar from anyone I have ever known myself to be. Much like the roads in New Orleans, the city that has become my home I am constantly under construction. And that is the reason for this site, to chronicle this rebirth, this renewal. To speak to those who are in desperate need of some renovation of all the amazing potential and possibilities.
